From the moment you arrive, you can feel that this place has been thoughtfully created with dogs (and their humans) in mind. Set within 11 acres of private woodland and riverside trails, it’s the kind of place where you can step outside your door and instantly find adventure. There’s no need to drive anywhere – peaceful walks wind through ancient trees, along the River Nith, and out into open countryside, all waiting to be explored by wagging tails and muddy paws. Variety of terrain — hills, forests, coastline, rivers, lochs. Good chance to mix things up. Lots of outdoor space — often less crowded than more urban or central regions, so your dog has more room to run (where allowed). Many dog-friendly places — both natural areas and visitor attractions that allow dogs (often on lead). Good facilities in many spots — parking for walks, sometimes water bowls, dog-friendly cafés or stops after walks.
